Use Toolbar Buttons For Fast Access
Add to your MakeLifeEasy lists from anywhere on the Web!
You can put special, completely safe "Assets" and "Needs" bookmarks in your browser's bookmarks list.
Then you can quickly add assets or needs from any web site.
It's best to
create an account (free or full) before adding a toolbar button.
For those using Microsoft Browsers, drag one of these buttons up to your browser's "Links" toolbar.
The bookmark stays on your toolbar for quick access from any web site.
Can't find your "Links" toolbar? The picture at right shows how to open it.
Those using other browsers may right-click on either toolbar button link below
and select "Add to Favorites" or "Add to Bookmarks".
"Assets" Toolbar Button: The Home Inventory Mini-Application
If you're using MakeLifeEasy to manage your home inventory,
you can add this button to your toolbar to quickly load (an) asset(s)
and maintain your home inventory record:
<= Drag and drop this "Assets" link onto your toolbar
"Needs" Toolbar Button: The Shopping List Mini-Application
If you're using MakeLifeEasy to manage your shopping lists,
you can add this button to your toolbar to quickly load a need
and manage your shopping lists:
<= Drag and drop this "Needs" link onto your toolbar
Adding a Button to Your Toolbar
When you've added the "Assets" button it will look like this:
Once you have the "Assets" bookmark in your browser
you can find the web page with the specific product you've purchased, anywhere on the Web.
Then use the "Assets" bookmark to put that product's web page in your asset list.
Hey! Are These Buttons "Safe"?
When you add a button you may see a message like the following:
This message may appear because these links contain "Javascript" to pop up a new window,
instead of overwriting the page you currently have in your browser.
That's all, and it's completely "safe".
But, if you prefer, you can drag and drop these other toolbar buttons instead,
which will not pop up a new window.
However, these can't pre-load some fields like the popups can:
Assets (no popup) <= Drag and drop this "Assets" link onto your toolbar
Needs (no popup) <= Drag and drop this "Needs" link onto your toolbar
